Our Ways of Working

Our Fulfillment Center team works on-site in Commercial Point, OH to support our physical operations and plays a vital role in delivering the Babylist experience.

What the Role Is

As an Inbound QA Specialist at our Commercial Point Fulfillment Center, you’ll be the go-to expert for ensuring every product that enters our building is accurate, safe, and ecommerce-ready. From labeling and packaging to system setup in HighJump, you’ll catch issues before they cause delays or mistakes further down the line. This is a specialist-level individual contributor role, not a leadership or supervisory position. You won’t manage others—but you’ll be trusted to make judgment calls, escalate quality risks, and protect our operations by preventing defects at the source. You’ll collaborate closely with receiving, inventory, and operations teams while maintaining full ownership of your own area.

You’ll work Day Shift (Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm) at our fulfillment center. The role is physical—expect to walk several miles per shift and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Who You Are

  • 2+ years in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or quality assurance, ideally in a high-volume e-commerce or fulfillment environment
  • Familiar with warehouse systems (HighJump experience is a plus), and confident navigating WMS setups, labels, and item attributes
  • Understands ecommerce requirements—like barcode scannability, correct casepacks, and parcel-ready packaging
  • Detail-focused, with a strong sense of responsibility—you take ownership and don’t let problems slid
  • Comfortable escalating issues clearly and professionally, with the documentation to back it up
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and walking several miles per shift in a fast-paced environment
  • Looking for a long-term, specialist-level role where your knowledge and consistency make a daily impact
  • Comfortable using AI tools that support data visibility and decision-making—we’ll train you on the systems we use

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Inspect all inbound shipments to ensure they meet packaging, labeling, and safety standards
  • Verify UPC/BL-ID scanability, lot codes, expiration dates, and packaging compliance (including hazmat/lithium battery labeling)
  • Confirm item setup in HighJump matches physical product, including measurements, casepacks, and system logic
  • Flag and stop inventory issues that could cause exceptions or customer impact downstream
  • Document root causes and share clear, actionable feedback with inventory and operations leadership
  • Provide real-time signals and reporting that support smooth wave planning and staffing decisions
  • Reduce rework, delays, and fulfillment issues by catching problems before they reach the floor
  • Build trust as a reliable, high-accountability quality specialist—someone teams count on to get it right the first time
