Job description

The QC Civil Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and engineering validity of the deliverables produced by the company. The role focuses on reviewing utility mapping, civil data, validating compliance with internal standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines, and supporting continuous improvement of quality processes across projects in the the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control reviews of civil and utility mapping deliverables including 2D maps, 3D models, depth data, and engineering reports
  • Verify geometric accuracy, logical consistency, attribute correctness, and alignment between layers and data sources
  • Review compliance with project SOWs, client specifications, and applicable engineering and regulatory standards
  • Validate depth assumptions, utility classifications, materials, and spatial relationships between infrastructures
  • Identify errors, risks, and inconsistencies, and provide clear corrective feedback to production and engineering teams
  • Support investigation of client comments, rejections, and technical issues
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of QC procedures, checklists, and SOPs
  • Collaborate with Map Leads, Product Operations, ExoInfo, and Engineering teams to improve overall data quality
  • Document QC findings and maintain structured quality records for internal and external use

Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc in Civil Engineering or equivalent academic background
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, infrastructure projects, surveying, GIS, or quality control roles
  • Professional knowledge: Strong understanding of civil infrastructure, underground utilities and engineering documentation
  • Familiarity with utility systems, Understanding of quality control methodologies and engineering validation processes
  • Tools proficiency: Experience working with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS
  • Ability to review and analyze CAD drawings and civil plans
  • Basic understanding of geospatial data formats and coordinate systems
  • Experience with utility mapping or infrastructure projects is a strong plus
  • Languages: High-level Hebrew and English (reading, writing, and presenting technical documents)
  • Personal skills: Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, independent work capability, and multitasking in a dynamic environment
