Hex.tech is the front door to how the world experiences Hex, from our brand and storytelling to our product education and growth engine. We’re looking for a Web Engineer to help us build a world-class marketing site that is fast, reliable, accessible, and delightful to use.

You’ll own the systems, patterns, and craft behind Hex.tech, partnering closely with Design, Marketing, and Product to bring new ideas to life. You’ll help evolve our web infrastructure to support personalization, SEO, growth experiments, and a steady cadence of launches.

About the role

As a Web Engineer, you will:

  • Build and maintain our website and our supporting web infrastructure, ensuring we have a stable, scalable, and flexible foundation for launches and telling our story.
  • Partner closely with designers and marketers to ship new pages, iterate on existing experiences, and rapidly test new growth ideas.
  • Improve performance, accessibility, and SEO, helping us create a polished, high-quality site that reflects the craft of the Hex brand.
  • Create delightful interactive experiences through thoughtful animations, micro-interactions, and advanced frontend techniques that surprise and engage users while reinforcing our brand identity.
  • Support personalization and experimentation, enabling our GTM team to move quickly while maintaining technical rigor.
  • Establish and maintain high implementation standards, including code quality, documentation, testing, and performance benchmarks.

You’ll be joining a small but growing team with meaningful ownership and autonomy. Your work will have direct visibility and impact across the company.

About you

You might be a great fit if you have:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in frontend engineering, ideally working on marketing sites and growth-oriented web surfaces
  • Fluency in Javascript/Typescript, React, and modern web frameworks
  • Experience working with a CMS, and comfort building reusable components and page-building systems
  • A strong eye for design and close partnership with designers, you sweat details and care about visual fidelity and craft
  • A passion for performance, accessibility, and well-structured code
  • Experience working cross-functionally with design, marketing, or growth teams
  • A habit of self-direction, ownership, and proactive communication
  • Curiosity about how Hex helps data teams do their best work (and excitement to help tell that story)

In addition to our unique culture, Hex proudly offers a competitive total rewards package, including but not limited to, market-benched salary & equity, comprehensive health benefits, and flexible paid time off.

The salary range for this role is: $175,000 - $250,000

The salary range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to. Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process, taking into account factors like leaving room for growth, internal fairness & parity, your demonstrated skills, and the depth of your experience. Our Recruiting team will be able to provide more details during the interview process.
