About the Role

We are seeking a North Carolina-licensed, board-certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric care to children ages 0–14 and their caregivers. This is a fully remote, part-time 1099 contractor role ideal for a clinician looking to practice up to 5 hours per week in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications as appropriate, and work closely with our interdisciplinary care team to ensure families receive comprehensive and compassionate care.


Location & Schedule:

  • Location: Remote within the U.S.
  • Schedule: Flexible
License Requirement: Must hold an active medical license and DEA in North Carolina
  • Schedule: Approximately 5 hours/week (flexible)
Compensation:
Standard Rates:
  • $312.50 per New Patient Evaluation
  • $125 per Follow Up Consultation
  • One time $500 bonus as compensation for onboarding

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children ages 0–14 and their caregivers
  • Collaborate with other providers (e.g., therapists, educators, pediatricians, speech and occupational therapists) to ensure comprehensive care
  • Communicate with families through the Little Otter platform, including asynchronous messaging
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning alongside therapists and parenting specialists
  • Complete timely clinical documentation including intake notes, treatment plans, and progress notes using the Little Otter platform
  • Attend any collaborative care meetings, case conferences, and clinical team discussions
  • Support the ongoing development of Little Otter’s care model and contribute to family-facing educational content (articles, webinars, videos)
  • Participate in clinician hiring interviews and team development activities as needed

About You:

  • Board-Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Licensed and in good standing in North Carolina, with an active DEA registration
  • 3+ years of clinical experience working with children and families
  • Experience with psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and collaborative care
  • Knowledge of measurement-based care and tools like motivational interviewing, SMART goal-setting, and readiness-to-change models
  • Comfortable using technology in clinical settings, including telehealth platforms and EMRs
  • Committed to providing culturally responsive, family-centered care
  • Passionate about transforming mental health care for children and families through innovation and teamwork
