About the Role

As a Software Test Engineer for our Platform Science division, you will be the guardian of product quality. You'll ensure the stability, reliability, and correct functionality of our solutions, making sure they meet and exceed customer expectations. This is a crucial role for our team, as you will be at the heart of our release cycles, collaborating closely with developers and other departments to deliver products that our customers can rely on.

This is a full-time position located at our Leuven office, with a flexible work arrangement.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform manual functional testing on newly added features and validate test results against functional requirements.

  • Guard product quality by continuously running automated regression tests, monitoring the results, and reporting on them.

  • Identify, analyze, and report software defects in detail using tools like Jira.

  • Communicate proactively and clearly with various departments to gather information, clarify requirements, and report bugs.

  • Create and maintain clear documentation, including functional/technical and help documents, as well as test plans.

Experience

Required experience

  • Relevant experience in testing complex software products.

  • Good understanding of software development technologies.

  • Experience with different testing methodologies.

  • ISTQB® certification.

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent through relevant work experience.

  • EU residency and work permit required.

  • EU driver's license required.

  • Languages:

    • Writing: English (mandatory) - French (highly recommended).

    • Speaking: English (mandatory) - French (highly recommended).

Nice to have

  • Technical background in Java, Javascript, Selenium, Android, XML, web services, microservices, or SaaS application architecture is a plus.

  • Knowledge of telematics, the transportation industry, driving times regulation, and social data is a plus.
