Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager to support our Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting function. This role reports to the Director of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting and will be critical in ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and SEC regulations, providing expert guidance on complex accounting matters, and overseeing the preparation of all external financial reports. What You’ll Do:
Technical Accounting:
Serve as an in-house expert on complex accounting issues, including new accounting pronouncements (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 326).
Research, analyze, and document accounting positions for significant transactions and areas, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Legal, Treasury, Business Development) to understand the accounting implications of new initiatives and transactions.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
Provide training and guidance to the accounting team on technical accounting matters.
SEC Reporting:
Participate in the end-to-end SEC reporting process, including the preparation and filing of Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and other SEC filings.
Ensure compliance with all SEC rules and regulations (e.g., Regulation S-X, Regulation S-K).
Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate filings.
Prepare components of the review financial statements, footnotes, and management's discussion and analysis (MD&A).
Stay current with SEC developments and proposed rule changes.
Drive process improvements and efficiencies
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Ensure the operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404) related to technical accounting and SEC reporting.
Assist in external audit activities and respond to auditor inquiries.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA license required.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a significant focus on technical accounting and SEC reporting.
Big Four public accounting experience strongly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex accounting issues clearly and concisely.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
Proactive and results-oriented.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across the organization.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation.The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $151,100 USD - $202,100 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
