HR Director - India
People & HR
Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Ready to be a Titan?
As HR Director for our strategic Bengaluru hub, you won't just run HR operations - you'll own the Titan experience in India: the compliance foundation, the culture, and the talent strategy that determine whether this becomes a place people want to build a career. You'll build the compliant, scalable HR foundation the site runs on, and grow your ownership of India's talent and culture story as the site matures — partnering closely with global People Ops the entire way. Reporting directly to the CHRO, you will serve as the senior People leader for Bengaluru, bringing on-the-ground context and talent-market insight into global People decisions while partnering closely with local technology leaders.
What You’ll Do
People Strategy & Employer Brand
- Own the outcome that matters most: Bengaluru is a place people want to join, and want to stay — shaping the culture, workplace experience, and day-to-day employee experience that make that true.
- Own India's employer brand strategy, positioning Bengaluru as a destination site in a competitive local talent market.
- Partner with Bengaluru leaders and Talent Acquisition to translate the site's growth plans into clear hiring priorities and help ensure the hiring plan is delivered with the right quality and pace.
- Provide local partnership and dotted-line leadership to Talent Acquisition, bringing focus to pipeline health, candidate experience, offer conversion and market competitiveness as the site scales.
- Co-design performance calibration, career frameworks, and promotion processes with global Talent Management, shaping how these programs land in the Bengaluru market.
- Bring India-specific market knowledge and competitive intelligence into decisions made by our central Benefits team People COEs, including Rewards and Benefits, helping shape solutions that are globally aligned and locally relevant.
Site Leadership & Culture
- Shape the people and culture priorities for the site and ensure the employee experience evolves as the organization grows.
- Act as the voice and advocate for Bengaluru within the global People organization — bringing forward local context, talent-market realities and emerging needs, and working with the CHRO and global COEs to translate them into action.
- Build a strong feedback loop between the Bengaluru site, the CHRO and global People teams so opportunities, risks and employee themes are surfaced early.
- Champion Diversity & Inclusion initiatives so Bengaluru is a place where every Titan can "Be Unapologetically You."
- Represent the People function in local leadership forums, town halls, and All Hands and serve as the primary People partner to Bengaluru's senior leadership team.
- Help build a connected Bengaluru culture that reflects ServiceTitan's global values while being relevant and meaningful in the local context.
- Ensure the physical workplace and site experience support the culture and employee experience ServiceTitan wants to create in Bengaluru, working through appropriate local resources and partners.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Own end-to-end HR compliance for the Bengaluru site — Indian labor law, the Shops & Establishments Act, POSH, PF/ESI, and gratuity — keeping the site always audit-ready.
- Build and continuously improve the HR processes and systems that let the site scale headcount with confidence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, partnering with Legal and global PeopleOps when a situation calls for it.
- Own the effectiveness of the local People operating environment, ensuring policies, processes, systems and governance remain compliant, simple and scalable as the site grows.
- Partner with global PeopleOps and specialist teams to ensure global practices are implemented effectively in India while addressing legitimate local requirements.
- Maintain appropriate oversight of local workplace operations, vendors and employee-support infrastructure, ensuring a reliable and consistent site experience without creating unnecessary local complexity.
Manager & Employee Development
- Coach and support people managers on engagement, performance conversations, and career development, building the manager capability that drives real team outcomes.
- Champion employee growth through mentorship and local learning initiatives, helping Titans achieve the extraordinary in their own careers.
- Partner with local leaders and global Talent Management to identify emerging retention, capability and talent risks and address them proactively.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HR generalist or HRBP roles, ideally in tech/SaaS, with experience supporting a global technology, product or R&D organization; experience in a GCC, captive technology center or new-site build is strongly preferred.
- A track record of improving employee experience, retention, and employer brand outcomes.
- Experience supporting organizational growth and partnering with Talent Acquisition on workforce ramp, critical hiring and talent-market challenges.
- Strong understanding of the Bengaluru technology talent market, including talent availability, candidate expectations and compensation competitiveness.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Indian labor law and statutory compliance.
- Experience co-designing talent programs alongside a central Center of Excellence and influencing global COEs to address local business and talent needs.
- Experience managing site operations or facilities functions, or directly managing administrative staff.
- Experience operating in a growing site environment where local People operations, employee experience and workplace requirements need to scale alongside the organization.
- Strong stakeholder management across a matrixed, global organization, including the confidence to advise senior leaders, surface difficult issues and influence without direct authority.
- Comfort moving between senior People discussions and hands-on execution in a growing site where processes and practices are still being built.
- Alignment with ServiceTitan's core values — Change Lives, Achieve The Extraordinary, Be a Dream Team.
