Description
Reusable systems with frequent launch cadence are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space. Highly operable, reliable, and robust ground systems are an integral part of a fully reusable launch system. As a General Helper for our dedicated site at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, you will be responsible for assisting multiple teams to build and operate a world-class launch complex.
Our unique design, build, & operations approach require individuals to be well versed in a variety of construction and manufacturing processes. We are seeking motivated individuals to draw on their prior experience and teamwork to collaborate with engineers and the technician team to build, assemble, commission, and operate ground support systems. You will use your resourcefulness and communication skills to identify and solve issues real-time, working as a high-functioning individual and an integrated team member. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma (or equivalent) completed or in-progress
- Must be at least 18 years of age (Required for safety/machinery compliance).
- Safety Mindset: Demonstrated safe working habits and awareness.
- Knowledge in basic carpentry, electric power tools and hand tools
- Familiar with use of personal computers
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to both lead initiatives and follow detailed instructions.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in using equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, & ladders
Responsibilities
- Provide help around shop, such as sweeping/mopping, taking out trash, etc.
- Support facility maintenance by performing preventative maintenance and conducting minor repairs in both a production floor and office setting
- Assist facility leaders in setting up new manufacturing and production support centers
- Perform carpentry repairs or install new facility support hardware
- Conduct facility safety inspections
- Work with team members and leaders to positively impact operations by reducing waste, reducing safety risks and improving quality.
- Perform other tasks as directed by Supervision/Management including but not limited to assisting non-production plant and administrative tasks.

Compensation
Target Levels:
- Level 1 Range: $22.82 - $34.18
- Level 2 Range: $27.92 - $41.90
- Level 3 Range: $34.93 - $52.35
