As a Senior Product Designer on the Connected Insights team, you will be part of the team that envision experience that lets users visualize, analyze, and consume their data. This is a high-impact, individual contributor (IC) role where you'll work on a high impact product area where you will be constantly required to imagine what the future of analytics and BI will be for business and data teams. You will be challenged to work on imagining futuristic AI workflows to help people make sense from their data.

What you’ll do:

Design & Execution Excellence

  • End-to-End Feature Ownership: Lead the design lifecycle of various features under the Connected Insights track, including core features like Liveboards, chart creation, and the derivation/consumption of analytical insights across various product touchpoints. Work closely with the Design lead to get the design direction and feedback. Ensure the design vision is delivered to the end user by closely working with engineers to resolve technical gaps and push towards execution quality.

  • Design Execution: Design intuitive and powerful experiences in creation tools for data visualizations and dashboard; incorporate best practices of data visualization, and interaction design principles into our products / agents.

  • Communication: Drive team alignment between Product <> Engineering <> Design through verbal and written communication. Create high-fidelity prototypes / coded prototypes using Figma or AI canvas-based tools to communicate interactivity with peers. Present your work to a larger audience through Loom videos.

  • Design System: Understand and apply existing design system principles, ensuring consistency and scalability for all new components and patterns introduced in the insights track.

Strategy & AI Integration

  • Product Strategy Partnership: Work closely under the Design Lead by assisting in the creation of a vision, conducting research, and utilizing strategic frameworks to help shape the design strategy of the connected insight track. Translate technical constraints into elegant solutions that drive maximum business value.

  • AI-Driven Insights: Proactively identify and explore opportunities to integrate AI/ML advancements (e.g., natural language querying, automated data analysis, intelligent alerting) to simplify complex tasks such as the creation of Liveboards and Charts, and to surface smarter insights for the user.

  • Product Definition and Delivery: Work closely with the Product Manager and Engineering Lead to simplify ambiguous and complex user problems into well-defined features. Convert ideas into shippable features by following an iterative product design process.

  • Team & Cultural Impact: As a Senior Designer, you are expected to provide thoughtful feedback to other designers during crits. Try out n tools and practices to improve the design workflow of thet eam. Uphold the quality of craft and intensity of execution

What you bring:

  • Design Thinker Mindset: We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about product development and eager to tackle complex domains. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep curiosity for new technologies and user problems, and possess the ability to simplify intricate concepts through abstraction and exploration.

  • Detail Orientation: Designers are advocates of the users and are expected to have an eye for detail so that we can deliver best-in-class products to our audience.

  • Strong Presentation and Communication Skills: This role requires you to talk to a lot of stakeholders as well as present your work at various forums through live or async videos.

  • Experience: While the number of years is not a barrier, the ideal candidate would have 4+ years of demonstrable experience as an Individual Contributor (IC) in Product Design for complex applications or data-heavy digital products (preferably B2B/SaaS).

  • Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in Figma as well as an understanding of emerging AI tools in the market. Bonus would be if you can make coded prototypes with the help of AI tools to explain your ideas.
