The Role
We are looking for a high-impact HR Operations professional who thrives in fast-paced, scaling environments and brings strong systems thinking, operational rigor, and data discipline.
This role sits at the intersection of HR Operations, Workday, Payroll Controls, and Contingent Workforce governance. You will play a critical role in strengthening our HR infrastructure, improving audit readiness, and ensuring Workday remains our single source of truth.

What You'll Do:
Onboarding & Workforce Lifecycle Excellence
Own end-to-end US onboarding operations in Workday
Drive system accuracy across offer → pre-onboarding → Day 1 activation
Partner with Recruiting, IT, and Payroll to ensure clean data flow and access readiness
Lead structured offboarding and involuntary termination compliance
Ensure workforce transitions (internal mobility, status changes, location changes) are audit-ready
Contingent Workforce & Compliance Governance
Manage Global contingent workforce lifecycle (contractor onboarding, extensions, conversions, offboarding)
Partner with Legal, Procurement, and Finance on workforce compliance
Monitor tenure thresholds, worker classification risks, and audit controls
Support contract-to-FTE conversion governance framework
Payroll Controls & Compensation Data Integrity
Serve as HR Ops lead for payroll audit validation
Implement and maintain preparer–reviewer (maker–checker) controls
Ensure bonuses (sign-on, retention, one-time payments) are structured correctly in Workday
Partner with Payroll to reconcile discrepancies proactively
Support SOC, audit, and compliance reporting
Workday Operations & Data Governance
Maintain high data integrity across Core HCM
Support business process framework updates and testing
Validate integrations impacting payroll and finance data
Drive reporting accuracy for Finance & HR stakeholders
Support Workday release testing and change governance
AI & Operational Automation
Leverage AI tools to streamline HR workflows and reduce manual effort
Identify opportunities for automation within onboarding, ticketing, and reporting
Partner with HRIS to optimize system-based controls
Contribute to HR AI initiatives and operational innovation
What You Bring:
3–5 years in HR Operations, HR Systems, or People Operations
Strong hands-on Workday experience (Core HCM required)
Experience working with Payroll teams and compensation workflows
Solid understanding of US compliance (I-9, EEO-1, audit controls)
Experience with ticketing systems (Jira preferred)
Strong data mindset and comfort working with reports
Ability to operate in ambiguity and bring structure
Exposure to automation or AI-enabled tools (strong plus)
Highly collaborative, calm under pressure, solutions-oriented

Comfortably and confidently integrate artificial intelligence into their daily workflow to increase productivity and quality.
Hands-on experience to leverage AI tools (industry-leading LLMs) to increase productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve work quality.
Speak to the experience of using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.
Write effective prompts to get the most accurate and creative results from AI tools.

Hybrid Work at ThoughtSpot
This office-assigned role is available as a hybrid position, reporting to the office in US - Phoenix.Spotters assigned to an office are encouraged to experience the energy of their local office with an in-office expectation of 2-3 days per week. This approach balances the benefits of in-person collaboration and peer learning with the flexibility needed by individuals and teams.
