Overview
As Director of Product, Healthcare Platform, you will lead the strategy and development of Tonal’s healthcare products and services.

This role will define how Tonal integrates with clinical ecosystems including healthcare providers, digital health partners, employers, and payers to deliver measurable health outcomes through strength training.

You will lead initiatives across:

• HIPAA-compliant product infrastructure

• Clinical workflows and provider tools
  

• Patient progress and outcomes tracking

• Healthcare integrations and data interoperability

• Healthcare go-to-market models, including reimbursement and employer health

You will work closely with teams across product, engineering, clinical research, regulatory, partnerships, and go-to-market to bring Tonal into the healthcare ecosystem.

What You Will Do

• Build Tonal’s Healthcare Product Platform

  • Define and lead Tonal’s healthcare product strategy, including provider-facing tools, patient monitoring capabilities, and clinical data infrastructure.

  • Develop HIPAA-compliant product capabilities and ensure alignment with healthcare regulatory requirements.

  • Design products that support clinical workflows, enabling healthcare providers to prescribe, monitor, and adjust strength training programs.

• Deliver Measurable Health Outcomes

• Build capabilities to track patient progress, recovery, and clinical outcomes through Tonal data.

• Partner with clinical and research teams to support clinical validation studies and evidence generation.

• Translate Tonal’s strength training platform into measurable outcomes for conditions such as: musculoskeletal rehabilitation, metabolic health, healthy aging, and Injury prevention and recovery

• Enable Healthcare Ecosystem Integrations

  • Lead integrations with healthcare systems and digital health partners including, Electronic Health Records (EHR), remote patient monitoring platforms, and digital therapeutics platforms

  • Define interoperability standards and data pipelines required for healthcare partnerships.

• Drive Healthcare Business Models

  • Partner with product marketing, partnerships, and business teams to develop healthcare go-to-market strategies such as employer health programs, provider partnerships, digital health collaborations, and value-based healthcare models

  • Help define pricing, reimbursement pathways, and healthcare distribution models.

• Lead Product Development

  • Lead product requirements creation, including definition of clinical use cases, user experience, and feature specifications.

  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among clinical needs, customer experience, regulatory requirements, and business outcomes.

• Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build strong partnerships with engineering, data science, design, clinical research, legal, and regulatory teams.

  • Build consensus around healthcare product strategy across leadership.

  • Proactively communicate product strategy and progress to senior leadership and the broader organization.
    

Who You Are

• 9+ years of product management experience, with significant experience building healthcare or digital health products

• 3+ years managing product managers or leading cross-functional product teams

• Experience building products in HIPAA-compliant environments

• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, patient engagement, and healthcare provider tools

• Experience working with healthcare data, outcomes tracking, or remote patient monitoring

• Experience launching products within healthcare ecosystems such as providers, employers, or payers

• Extremely analytically rigorous with strong product intuition

• Highly collaborative and able to work across clinical, technical, and commercial teams

• Exceptional communicator with strong executive presence
  

Extra Credit

• Experience launching digital therapeutics or clinical-grade consumer health products

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR or HL7

• Experience working with clinical research or outcomes studies

• Background in healthcare, biomedical engineering, or related fields

• MBA, MPH, or other advanced degree

Compensation Range: $240K - $285K
