About the role
The Sanctions & Watchlist Analyst will be a critical member of the Sanctions & Watchlist Screening team, acting as an operational leader and the primary liaison between our offshore Accenture team and internal partners within Varo. This role is responsible for ensuring the company remains in strict compliance with global financial crime regulations, where meeting regulatory requirements is absolute.
In addition to performing core screening operations to identify, investigate, and mitigate risks related to sanctions, PEPs, adverse media, and enforcement lists, this individual will provide vital oversight, quality control, and SLA monitoring for the Accenture team.
Responsibilities
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in Sanctions, Watchlist Screening, or Financial Crime (FC) related compliance.
Proven experience working in Bank Operations (Bank Ops) and/or Payments.
Demonstrated experience working with and overseeing offshore or vendor teams (specifically Accenture is a plus).
Familiarity with financial crime screening tools and processes, with specific experience using LexisNexis Bridger.
Strong understanding of Sanctions, OFAC, and AML/KYC compliance principles, with a deep appreciation for the zero-fail regulatory requirements surrounding prohibited entities.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and make firm decisions on escalated alerts.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume workloads and monitor operational SLAs in a fast-paced environment.
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the identified range.
